Hey all! Glad to see some interest in this effort!

For those of you coming from facebook, please watch this blog for information as I am able to give it.

I'd like to organize a time that all of you can come meet so we can discuss our plan of action. I'm trying to get in contact with CVWMA (Central Virginia Waste Management Association) and the CBF (Chesapeake Bay Foundation) for sponsorship and mentorship.

If any of you are interested in being a part of the planning of this organization please let me know!

My Idea

I had an idea today as I was leaving Ruchee Express where I had lunch. My plan is to start a collective of Richmond City residents to decrease the material waste that is produced by local restaurants. If we can reduce the amount of recyclable material thrown out by restaurants we can make an impact not only on the environment, but open up a new world of possibilities regarding waste management.

I will be trying to organize a volunteer effort of residents of Richmond to approach restaurants and with their consent place recycling bins inside these restaurants and also propose to remove and replace them on a normal basis.

If anyone out there is also interested, let me know!
